Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:

  • Graduate with 50% marks (Final-year students can apply if they have 50% marks in previous years).
  • Served 2-3 years in Senior Division/Wing of NCC.
  • Must have ‘B’ grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate exam.

For Wards of Battle Casualties (Indian Army Personnel):

  • Unmarried sons/daughters (including legally adopted) of Army battle casualties.
  • Graduate with 50% marks from a recognized university.
  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate NOT required.

Selection Procedure

  • Applications are shortlisted by the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army).
  • Shortlisted candidates are called for the SSB interview at selection centres in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar.
  • The selection process has two stages:
    • Stage I: Screening test (elimination round). Candidates who fail are sent back the same day.
    • Stage II: Includes psychological tests, group tasks, and a personal interview.
  • The SSB interview lasts for five days.
  • Candidates who clear SSB undergo a medical examination.
  • The final selection is based on the merit list.

How to Apply for NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’.
  • New users: Click ‘Registration’ and fill out the required details.
  • Registered users: Log in with your credentials and proceed.
  • Ensure all details are correct before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • After logging in, click on ‘Apply Online’ under the Dashboard.
  • A page titled ‘Officers Selection – Eligibility’ will appear.
  • Find ‘NCC Special Entry Course’ and click ‘Apply’.
  • Read the instructions carefully, then click ‘Continue’.
  • Enter all required details, including:
    • Personal Information
    • Communication Details
    • Educational Qualifications

Step 3: Submit the Application

  • After filling in all details, a Summary Page will appear.
  • Carefully review all information before final submission.
  • If any corrections are needed, make them before clicking ‘Submit’.
  • Important: Candidates must click ‘Submit’ every time they edit the form.
  • After submission, take two printouts of the application with the Roll Number (available after 30 minutes).
  • Application Dates: Opens 14 Feb 2025 (3:00 PM) to 15 Mar 2025 (3:00 PM).

Step 4: Required Documents (Carry originals & self-attested copies to the Selection Centre)

  • Printed application form (duly signed with a passport-size photograph).
  • Matriculation (10th) and 12th Class Certificates & Mark Sheets (as proof of Date of Birth, Name, and Parent’s Name).
  • Graduation Degree / Provisional Degree (Must not be older than 6 months at the time of joining).
  • Mark sheets of all semesters/years of graduation.
  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Mandatory for NCC candidates but NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties).
  • CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate (If applicable, issued by the university specifying the conversion formula).
  • Final-Year Students: A certificate from the college/university stating that the candidate is in the final year and will complete graduation by 1st Oct 2025.
  • Declaration by Final-Year Candidates: A self-declaration confirming that they will submit their degree proof by 1st Oct 2025, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
  • Wards of Battle Casualties:
    • Battle Casualty Certificate issued by the concerned authority.
    • Relationship Certificate issued by the Army HQ / Regimental Records.
    • Relevant documents proving the candidate’s eligibility under this category.

Step 5: Important Notes

  • No changes can be made to the application after submission.
  • CGPA/Grades must be converted into percentage as per university rules.
  • Ensure the Name, Parent’s Name, and Date of Birth match exactly as per the Matriculation (10th) certificate.
  • Only one application is allowed per candidate (Multiple applications will result in cancellation).
  • Candidates currently serving in the Indian Armed Forces must inform their Commanding Officer in writing.
