Selection Procedure – SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2025
- Paper-I: Computer Based Exam
- Objective type (MCQs) – General Hindi & General English
- 100 questions each (Total 200 marks)
- Duration: 2 hours (2 hrs 40 mins for scribe users)
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR – 30%, OBC/EWS – 25%, Others – 20%
- Normalization if conducted in multiple shifts
- Shortlisting for Paper-II
- Based on Paper-I marks, category-wise
- Paper-II: Descriptive Exam
- Translation (Hindi ↔ English) and Essay in Hindi & English
- 200 marks, 2 hours (2 hrs 40 mins for scribe users)
- Roll number, signature and thumb impression mandatory
- Personal identity info inside answer book is prohibited
- Post Preference Submission
- Preferences taken before final result via Online Form
- Once submitted, cannot be changed
- No preference = not considered for that post
- Final Selection & Allotment
- Based on combined scores of Paper-I and Paper-II

How to Apply for Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2025 – Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)
- Visit the new SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in
- Click on “Login or Register” and select the One-Time Registration option
- OTR on the old website https://ssc.nic.in is not valid for new applications
- Keep ready:
- Valid Mobile Number and Email ID (for OTP verification)
- Aadhaar Card (preferred) or any other valid ID (Voter ID, PAN, Passport, etc.)
- 10th Class Certificate details (Board, Roll No., Year of Passing)
- Disability Certificate Number (if applicable)
- Enter all personal details carefully, especially:
- Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth – these must match exactly with your 10th certificate
- You may authenticate via Aadhaar; if not, upload valid ID documents (Name, DOB, Address, etc.)
- Complete all fields, preview the form, and finally submit using OTPs on mobile and email
- You’ll receive login details; change the system-generated password after first login
Step 2: Filling the Online Application Form
- Log in to your account on https://ssc.gov.in using Registration Number & Password
- Click “Apply” under “Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2025” in the Live Exams section
- Most personal details will auto-fill from OTR and cannot be edited
- Provide:
- Educational Qualifications (must be fulfilled by 01.08.2025)
- Armed Forces/Ex-Servicemen status (if applicable)
- Age Relaxation category (if applicable)
- Three Exam Centres (in order of priority)
- PwBD status, scribe requirements, and certificate upload (if applicable)
- Translation Diploma/Experience details as per post requirement
- Preference for Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF (if applying)
- Live Photograph:
- Click a photo using webcam or mobile camera
- Use plain background, proper lighting, no glasses, direct front view
- Poor quality or pre-used photos will be rejected
- Signature Upload:
- JPEG/JPG format (10–20 KB), follow size/dimension instructions
- PwD (VH) candidates may upload thumb impression
- Preview: Review all details, photograph, and signature carefully
- Click “I agree”, enter Captcha, and submit the form
Step 3: Application Fee Payment
- Fee: ₹100/-
- Exempted Candidates: Women, SC/ST, PwBD, ESM (eligible for reservation)
- Payment Modes: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards (Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay)
- Last Date: 27.06.2025 (till 11:00 PM)
- Note: Fee once paid is non-refundable. Unpaid/incomplete applications will be rejected
Step 4: Correction Window
- Dates: 01.07.2025 to 02.07.2025 (till 11:00 PM)
- Applicable only if initial application was submitted with fee
- Max 2 corrections allowed:
- 1st correction: ₹200
- 2nd correction: ₹500
- Last corrected application will be considered final
- No correction allowed after this window
Step 5: Final Submission & Printout
- After final submission, your application is considered provisionally accepted
- Take a printout of the application for personal records
- Avoid last-minute submission to prevent server issues
- Submitting multiple applications may lead to cancellation of candidature
- Ensure your email and mobile number remain active for SSC communication
