- 10+2 (Intermediate) passed from a recognized board
- Must qualify for skill test or typing test
Selection Procedure
Stage 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Objective-type, multiple-choice exam
- Duration: 2 hours (general), 2 hours 40 minutes (with scribe)

- Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR: 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- Others: 20%
- Marks may be normalized if exam is held in multiple shifts
- Tentative answer keys will be released for objection
Stage 2: Shortlisting for Skill Test
- Based on marks in the CBE
- Only candidates with stenography skills are shortlisted
Stage 3: Skill Test in Stenography
- One dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted)
- Dictation speed:
- Grade ‘C’: 100 words per minute
- Grade ‘D’: 80 words per minute

- Transcription done on computer
- Test is qualifying but mandatory
- Candidates must be ready to work in both English and Hindi as per department need
Stage 4: Final Selection and Post Allocation
- Based on performance in CBE (only for those who qualify skill test)
- Post preferences are taken through an Online Option Form
- Once allotted a higher preference, other options are not considered
Stage 5: Document Verification (DV)
- Conducted after final selection by respective departments
- Required original documents:
- Educational qualifications
- Caste/Category certificate
- Age relaxation proof
- PwBD/ESM proof (if applicable)
- Invalid or missing documents will lead to cancellation of candidature
