CBAT Rules and Merit
- Candidates are called for CBAT at 8 times the posts, separately for each community.
- The test is held in English and Hindi. Wrong answers do not attract negative marking.
- Every candidate must score at least 42 T-Score in each test battery. There is no relaxation.
- Bring the original Vision Certificate under Annexure VI/VIA. Without it, the candidate cannot attend CBAT.
- Only candidates who pass CBAT are considered for the merit list. The final score uses 70% CBT and 30% CBAT.
Document Verification
- Candidates are called according to their combined merit. The number called is equal to the available posts.
- Carry original certificates and 2 sets of self-attested photocopies.
- If scores are equal, the older candidate ranks higher. If age is also equal, alphabetical order of the given name is used.
Medical Examination
- Railway medical authorities check candidates under the A-2 medical standard.
- Candidates who do not pass the medical test lose their candidature. No alternative appointment is offered.
