MP Police Constable Driver 2026: Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection Process

  • Candidates will first take an online written exam conducted by MPESB.
  • After the written exam, candidates will be called for the next stage. The number called will be 7 times the category-wise posts.
  • MPESB will use the adjusted percentile score from the written exam to prepare this shortlist.
  • Shortlisted candidates must show their original documents. Their height and chest will also be checked.
  • Candidates will then take an 800-metre race for 40 marks and a heavy vehicle driving test.
  • They must also meet the medical fitness requirements.

Heavy Vehicle Driving Test

  • This test checks whether candidates can drive a heavy vehicle.
  • Candidates must pass this test to be considered for selection.
  • Its marks will not be added to the final score.

How the Final Selection List Will Be Made

  • The final score will include the adjusted written exam score (T-score) and the 800-metre race marks out of 40.
  • Candidates must pass the driving test. Their documents and medical fitness must also meet the requirements.
  • If 2 candidates have the same final score, their written exam marks will be compared first using the prescribed calculation.
  • If the scores are still equal, the older candidate will be placed higher.
  • A waiting list for 15% of the posts will also be prepared. It will remain valid for 1 year from the result date.
