Eligibility Details

• For most posts: Graduation or an equivalent degree from a recognized university is required.
• For Financial Administrative Officer & Equivalent: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from a recognized university is mandatory.

Physical Eligibility

• Height: Minimum 62½ inches (158.75 cm) for males aged 21 years and above.
• Chest (Unexpanded): Minimum 31 inches (78.74 cm).
• Chest (Expanded): Minimum 33 inches (83.82 cm).
• Chest Expansion: At least 2 inches (5.08 cm).

Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary Exam (Screening Test)

• Type: Objective (MCQ)
• Subject: General Studies
• Questions: 150, Marks: 150
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Purpose: To shortlist candidates for the Mains
• 10 times the total vacancies will be selected for the Mains

2. Main (Written) Exam

• Only for those who clear the Prelims
• Total 4 papers:
  1. General Hindi – 100 marks
     • Qualifying paper (Minimum 30% required)
     • Not counted in merit
  2. General Studies Paper I – 300 marks
  3. General Studies Paper II – 300 marks
  4. Optional Subject – 300 marks (Choose from a given list)
• Marks of GS I, GS II, and Optional count for merit

3. Interview (Personality Test)

• Only for those who clear the Mains
• Marks: 120
• Mandatory to appear — otherwise disqualified

• Based on total marks in:
  • GS Paper I
  • GS Paper II
  • Optional Subject
  • Interview
