Eligibility Details

• Only unmarried candidates can apply
• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
• They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class XII.
• The PCM percentage will be calculated only based on marks obtained in Class XII.
• Candidates must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2025.
• Only the JEE (Main) 2025 application number for B.E./B.Tech courses should be provided in the application.

Physical Eligibility

Selection Procedure

1. Online Application
   Apply online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Shortlisting
   Applications are shortlisted based on JEE (Main) 2025 Common Rank List (CRL) and PCM marks from Class XII. Shortlisted candidates are informed via email.
3. SSB Interview
   Shortlisted candidates attend a 5-day SSB interview at one of the selection centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar).
   • Stage I: Screening
   • Stage II: Further testing (only for those who clear Stage I)
     Candidates must bring all original documents and photocopies.
4. Medical Examination
   Candidates recommended by SSB undergo a medical exam at a military hospital. Medical status is shared only if fit.
5. Merit List & Joining
   A merit list is prepared based on SSB interview marks. Medically fit candidates are issued joining letters according to merit and vacancies.
6. Physical Standards on Arrival
   Candidates must meet the required physical standards upon reporting to the training academy.

Pay scale and other benefits

Stipend During Training

Monthly Stipend (at IMA)	₹ 56,100/- per month (same as NDA cadets after 3 years of training)
