ISRO Scientist/Engineer Selection Procedure

1. Written Test

• Conducted at 11 venues
• Objective-type paper with 2 parts:
  • Part A: 80 MCQs (1 mark each, -1/3 negative)
  • Part B: 15 MCQs (20 marks total, no negative)
• Duration: 120 minutes
• Answer keys released within 3 days; objections allowed

2. Shortlisting for Interview

• Based on written test performance
• Ratio: 1:5 (minimum 10 candidates)
• Separate list for PwBD candidates

3. Interview

• Total: 100 marks
  • Technical Knowledge: 40
  • Technical Awareness: 20
  • Communication: 20
  • Comprehension: 10
  • Academic Achievements: 10
• 2nd class train fare reimbursed
• Original documents required

4. Qualifying Criteria

• Unreserved:
  • Written Test: 50% in each part
  • Interview: 60%
• PwBD:
  • Written Test: 40% in each part
  • Interview: 50%

5. Final Selection

• 50% weight to Written Test + 50% to Interview
