Students seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Planning courses can apply for Session 1 between 24/10/2026 and 22/11/2026. The first session will be held in January, followed by the second session in April. Eligible Class 12 passed and appearing students can choose 1 session or both. Eligibility Details
- B.E./B.Tech (Paper 1): Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and one other eligible subject.
- B.Arch (Paper 2A): Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- B.Planning (Paper 2B): Passed Class 12 with Mathematics.
- 3-Year Diploma: Students who have completed a recognized 3-year diploma are also eligible.

NTA JEE Main 2027: Admission Process & Exam Pattern
Exam, Score and Admission
- Students can choose either session or take the exam in both sessions.
- For papers held in several shifts, NTA changes raw marks into percentile scores. These scores allow comparison across shifts.
- For students taking both sessions, the higher total NTA score is considered for the Common Rank List and category rank.
- Paper 1’s top 2,50,000 successful candidates can take JEE (Advanced) 2027, if they meet its conditions.
- JoSAA and CSAB handle counselling and seat allotment for admission.

- The full paper is taken on a computer.
- Duration: 3 hours. Eligible PwD/PwBD students using a scribe have 4 hours.
- Both sections award 4 marks per correct answer. A wrong answer reduces the score by 1 mark. Leaving a question unanswered gives 0 marks.
B.Arch — Paper 2A

- Complete the paper in 3 hours; eligible PwD students get 4 hours.

- All parts are held on a computer. The time allowed is 3 hours, or 4 hours for eligible PwD students.
- Taking B.Arch and B.Planning together allows 3 hours 30 minutes.

When does the NTA JEE Main 2027 application close?
For Session 1, submit the regular form and fee by 22/11/2026 at 11:50 PM. A separate late application period is available from 23/11/2026 to 26/11/2026. An additional ₹500 must be paid during that period.
Can Class 12 appearing students take NTA JEE Main 2027?
Yes. Students appearing in Class 12 or its accepted equivalent in 2027 may take the test. Students who first passed in 2025 or 2026 are also eligible. Passing in 2024 or any earlier year does not meet the year condition.
How much is the NTA JEE Main 2027 single paper fee?
The fee depends on gender and category. It is ₹1,000 for General males and ₹900 for Gen-EWS / OBC-NCL males. General / Gen-EWS / OBC-NCL females pay ₹800. SC / ST / PwD / PwBD and Third Gender candidates pay ₹500 per session.
Does NTA JEE Main 2027 have a minimum age?
No minimum or maximum age has been fixed for taking the test. The Class 12 passing year condition still applies. Students should also check the college’s rules, because the institute may set separate age conditions at admission.
What is the NTA JEE Main 2027 Paper 1 pattern?
There are 75 questions worth 300 marks, covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject has 20 MCQs and 5 numerical questions. The test is computer based. Correct answers get 4 marks, while each wrong answer loses 1 mark.
Can students appear in both NTA JEE Main 2027 sessions?
Yes. A student may take the January session, the April session or both. When both are taken, the better total NTA score is used to prepare the final rank. Scores from individual subjects across sessions are not added together.
When are NTA JEE Main 2027 admit cards scheduled?
Session 1 admit cards are scheduled for 13/01/2027, ahead of the January exam. Session 2 admit cards are scheduled for 25/03/2027. Students should read their allotted exam date, shift and centre details after downloading the card.
