Eligibility Details
- The candidate must hold an MBBS degree that is recognised under the rules of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- A permanent registration with the Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) is compulsory, and it must be in hand on or before the exam date.
- If the RMC certificate is still not ready while filling the form, it can be uploaded later on 14/12/2026 or 15/12/2026. In that case, the issue date printed on the certificate must not fall after 13/12/2026.
- Candidates who completed MBBS from a foreign university have to clear the FMGE and also fulfil the permanent RMC registration condition.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script, along with awareness of Rajasthan culture, is also expected from the applicant.

RUHS Medical Officer 2026: Selection Process & Exam Pattern
How the Selection Will Be Done
RUHS handles the whole process on its own. There are three clear steps, and a candidate has to clear each step to move ahead in the list.
- Step 1 – An offline written examination is held, where answers are marked on OMR sheets.
- Step 2 – RUHS prepares the result and the merit ranking from the marks of that written test.
- Step 3 – The papers of the shortlisted candidates are checked by the notified Rajasthan Government authority to confirm that every condition is met.

Syllabus to Prepare
Questions are taken only from the subjects taught during the four and a half year MBBS course. The syllabus is the one prescribed by NMC or the competent authority, so nothing outside the MBBS course needs to be prepared.
