SSC JE & Scientific Assistant 2026: Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Candidates first take Paper I on a computer. Those who pass can appear for Paper II.
- After the written papers, candidates must show their original documents for checking and complete the required medical examination.

- Time allowed: 2 Hours. Eligible candidates using a scribe get 2 Hours 40 Minutes.
- Each wrong answer leads to a deduction of 0.25 marks.
- Candidates must pass Paper I to move to Paper II. Paper I marks are not added to the final merit score.
- If Paper I has more than 1 shift, marks are adjusted through normalization to account for differences between shifts.
