Selection Procedure

  • Online Application (June 2–23, 2025)
    Apply through SSC website or mySSC app. Separate applications for each post. Fee exemptions for SC/ST, PwBD, ESM, and Women. Correction window: June 28–30, 2025.
  • Computer Based Examination (CBE) (July 24 – August 4, 2025)
    • Objective-type exam (MCQs)
    • Sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English
    • Separate exams for Matric, 10+2, and Graduation levels
    • Negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
  • Shortlisting for Scrutiny
    • Minimum qualifying marks: UR – 30%, OBC/EWS – 25%, Others – 20%
    • Shortlisting ratio: 1:30 (up to 5 vacancies), 1:15 (more than 5)
    • All eligible PwBD/ESM candidates meeting the cut-off are shortlisted
  • Scrutiny of Documents
    Shortlisted candidates must upload self-attested documents (qualification, age, category, etc.) on the SSC website.
  • Skill Test (if applicable)
    Typing/Data Entry/Computer Proficiency Test required for some posts. Qualifying in nature.
  • Document Verification (DV)
    Original documents are verified by the concerned department. Incorrect or false information will lead to rejection.
  • Final Selection and Nomination
    After all stages, candidate dossiers are sent to departments. Appointment only after full eligibility confirmation.
  • Tie Resolution
    Ties are resolved based on total marks, section-wise marks, date of birth (older preferred), and name order.
  • Post-Examination Analysis
    Includes log records, biometric/photo verification, CCTV review. Misconduct leads to cancellation and debarment.
  • All India Service Liability (AISL)
    Selected candidates must be ready to serve anywhere in India and may need to learn the local language.
