How To Apply For SSC CGL Exam 2025
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR) on New SSC Website
- Go to https://ssc.gov.in and click on “Login or Register”.
- Click on “Register Now” and complete the OTR process.
- Old registration on https://ssc.nic.in is not valid.
- Once done, OTR will be valid for all future exams on this new site.
Documents/Information Needed for OTR:
- Mobile number and email ID for OTP verification.
- Aadhaar Card number (or Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.).
- 10th Class details: Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing.
- Disability certificate (if applicable).
Aadhaar Authentication (Optional but Useful):
- If you use Aadhaar authentication, your application won’t be rejected due to photo/sign issues.
- You won’t need physical photo ID at the exam center.
Filling the OTR Form:
- Enter personal details and create a password.
- Enter additional details and submit the declaration.
- Name, DOB, parents’ names must match your 10th certificate.
- Confirm OTPs sent to mobile and email.
- You will receive a Registration Number and auto-generated password.
- You must change this password at first login.
Step 2: Fill Online Application Form (Part-II)
- Login using your Registration Number and password.
- Click “Apply” under the “Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025” section.
- Personal info from OTR will be auto-filled and cannot be changed.
Live Photo Capture:
- Use good lighting and a plain background.
- Camera should be at eye level and face clearly visible.
- Do not wear glasses, mask, or cap.
- Do not upload a photo of an existing photo.
Scanned Signature:
- Upload signature in JPG/JPEG format (10–20 KB).
- Image size approx. 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm.
- Blurred or miniature signatures will be rejected.
Enter Additional Information:
- Educational qualifications (highest and qualifying).
- Ex-serviceman/Armed Forces details if applicable.
- Age relaxation category if applicable.
- Choice of 3 exam centers within the same region.
- PwBD and scribe details if applicable.
- Mention if applying for JSO or Statistical Investigator and meet eligibility.
Final Submission:
- Use “Preview/Print” to check all details before submitting.
- Agree to declaration and enter captcha.
- Submit the form using OTP sent to your mobile/email.
Application Fee:
- ₹100 for general candidates.
- No fee for women, SC, ST, PwBD, and eligible ex-servicemen.
- Pay online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card.
- Last date to pay fee: July 5, 2025 (11:00 PM).
- Fee is non-refundable.
Correction Window:
- Open from July 9 to July 11, 2025 (11:00 PM).
- You can correct and resubmit the form twice.
- Correction Fee: ₹200 (first time), ₹500 (second time).
- Fee must be paid online and is non-refundable.
Important Note:
- Apply well before July 4, 2025 (11:00 PM) to avoid last-minute issues.
- Take a printout of your final submitted application for your records.
