  • Must have a master’s degree with 55% marks in Science, Humanities, Social Science, Commerce, or Education.
  • If the subject is B.Ed., then 55% marks are required in the master’s degree.

  • Must also have 55% marks in B.Ed., B.A.Ed., B.Sc.Ed., or an equivalent degree.
  • Must have qualified NET, SLET, or SET conducted by UGC.
  • Or must have a Ph.D. degree as per UGC rules (2009 or 2016).

Selection Procedure

1. Written Examination

  • This is the first stage and is mandatory.
  • Only candidates who qualify this exam will be called for the interview.
  • The exam consists of one question paper.
  • Total Questions: 100
    • 30 questions from General Knowledge
    • 70 questions from the Optional Subject
  • Total Marks: 200 (Each question carries 2 marks)
  • Negative marking is applicable (exact details not mentioned).
  • Date, time, and venue will be informed via SMS, email, newspapers, and the official website.

2. Interview

  • Only candidates who pass the written exam will appear in the interview.
  • Total Marks: 30
