Eligibility Details

  • Only Unmarried male & female eligible.
  • For Army Wing (NDA): 12th pass (any stream) under 10+2 system or equivalent.
  • For Air Force, Naval Wings (NDA) & Naval Academy: 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics under 10+2 system or equivalent.
  • Appearing Candidates: Those appearing in 12th class can apply. They must submit 10th & 12th certificates by 10th June 2026 if selected.
  • Not Eligible: Students currently in 11th class are not eligible.
  • Special Cases: UPSC may accept equivalent qualifications in exceptional cases.

✅ Selection Procedure (Step-by-Step):

  1. Online Application:
    • Apply at upsconline.nic.in.
    • Use a valid photo ID (preferably Aadhaar).
    • Incomplete forms may be rejected.
  2. Written Exam (900 Marks):
    • Paper 1: Maths – 300 Marks (2.5 hrs)
    • Paper 2: General Ability – 600 Marks (English: 200 + GK: 400) (2.5 hrs)
    • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks deducted for wrong answers.
    • Result: Likely in October 2025.
  3. SSB Interview:
    • Only for those who clear the written exam.
    • Stage I: OIR + Picture Perception Test.
    • Stage II: Psychology, Group Tasks, Interview (4–5 days).
    • For Air Force (Flying): CPSS Test is also conducted.
    • Must carry original documents (10th & 12th certificates).
  4. Medical Test:
    • Conducted by Service Medical Board.
    • Must meet physical and mental fitness standards.
    • Appeal allowed if found unfit.
  5. Final Merit List:
    • Based on Written + SSB marks.
    • Tie-breaking done by marks in Paper 2, then age.
    • Final selection depends on merit, medical fitness, and preferences.
